Khalid is a Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Management.

Khalid joined Aeon in 2021 and is responsible for portfolio management across our multi-asset credit strategies, serving our institutional and family office mandates.

He has over 25 years of experience in transaction structuring, portfolio management, investment analysis and quantitative modelling across a wide range of structured credit products.

Prior to Aeon, Khalid spent 9 years as a Senior Credit Structurer in the Fixed Income Group at Federated Hermes International. He was responsible for managing structured credit portfolios comprising regulatory capital trades and CLOs, developing the multi-asset credit platform, designing the asset allocation framework, and devising relative analysis tools.

Previously, as a Principal at Pearl Diver Capital LLP, he was responsible for designing quantitative trading strategies and the proprietary portfolio management platform. He has also worked at Deutsche Bank with the Global CDO Group and the CDO Structuring Group at Lehman Brothers, executing 12 European CLOs.

Khalid is fluent in Urdu, Hindi and English and holds an M.Sc. in Financial Engineering from Haas School of Business at the University of California Berkeley, an MBA (major in Finance) from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
